He is the co-author of Airbnb for Dummies (Wiley) and the author of Real Estate Investing QuickStart Guide and Rental Property Investing QuickStart Guide (ClydeBank Media). His online courses on real estate and business have reached over 600,000 students across Udemy, LinkedIn Learning, and other platforms. His commentary and work have been cited in the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Forbes, CNBC, and SKIFT.
Earlier in his career, Symon led marketing analytics at Panda Restaurant Group, worked in global M&A at Ingram Micro, and covered commercial real estate acquisitions at a private equity fund across the western United States. He co-founded LearnBNB, a consultancy and education site in the short-term rental space, and remains a licensed real estate broker in California.
Symon holds dual degrees in Computer Engineering (Magna Cum Laude) and Economics (Summa Cum Laude) from UC Irvine, and an MBA from Stanford.
